We are now looking to fill the role of SW Specialist, Embedded Linux to play a key role in designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining Linux-based embedded systems in our product portfolio. Convenient location for the job is Oulu Finland.

What you’ll do

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a strong focus on Linux-based systems 

• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded Linux solutions 

• Previous experience on the lead developer role or similar 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 

• Experience with embedded system security features and best practices 

• Ability to analyze product requirements and translate them into technical solutions 

• Hands-on experience with debugging and performance optimization in embedded environments 

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for embedded products 

• Experience in developing POCs when needed 

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Key words and desired skills:

• Embedded Linux (Yocto, or similar) 

• Linux application, kernel and bootloader development 

• C / C++ 

• Security frameworks and secure boot 

• Embedded SW debugging tools and techniques 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems 

• Understanding architectural aspects, coding standards and best practices 

• Proven experience in decision making under constraints 

• Strategic thinking for technology 

• Technical documentation skills 

• Process improvement and development skills 

• Good communication skills 

• Coaching skills 

• Experience in modern AI tools in SW development
