Then you might be the Supply Chain Specialist we’re looking for in Oulu. In this approximately 18‑month fixed‑term position, your primary goal is to execute volume and project purchasing based on demand and supply plans as well as project needs.
What you'll do
Your responsibilities consist of:
Execute the demand and supply plan
Purchase materials according to iLOQ’s volume forecasts
Purchase materials required for R&D project needs
Manage availability and inventory levels within assigned responsibility area
Provide availability reporting for own area
Maintain daily and weekly collaboration with suppliers (e.g., weekly meetings, daily communication)
Coordinate material availability and escalate risks when needed
Ensure timely and accurate master data updates related to purchased items
Support continuous improvement activities within purchasing and supply chain processes
What you'll bring
We are looking for either an experienced supply chain professional or a less experienced talent with strong growth potential. The ideal candidate has:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, or a related field
A few years of working experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or a related field — or an early‑career professional with strong references and high motivation
Experience with global supply networks; hands‑on experience is an advantage
Genuine interest in working in a fast‑paced supply chain environment
Open‑minded attitude and excellent communication skills
Experience working confidently with IT systems, especially ERP
Strong co‑operation and teamwork capabilities
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in parallel
Proactive and solution‑oriented working style
Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
A positive attitude and an interest in AI and data analytics; previous skills and experience in these areas are considered an advantage
Strong English skills. Finnish is considered an advantage
