To strengthen our operations, we are now seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our team in Oulu, Finland.
What you'll do
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer who is passionate about electronics design and creating products that make a real impact. The ideal candidate will have at least few years of background in electronics design and a passion for creating high-quality products. In this position, you will be mainly responsible for the electronic designs for our new products in R&D projects. You will be responsible for selecting the key components, design the desired functionalities and make sure that the hardware meets the product requirements. Your role includes working in project teams consisting of your closest stakeholders, e.g. project and product management, mechanical engineers, embedded SW developers, sourcing, production test engineers, compliance engineers etc. You will also be part of our electronics team, where we have experienced and supportive colleagues to ensure your success. The position may also be filled at senior level depending on the candidate’s background and experience.
In this role, you will be doing:
Electronics design in R&D projects
Be responsible of component selections, schematics design, layout design, design verification and technical documentation
Ensure that the design meets the product requirements and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
Actively learn and seek solutions around our key technologies and new opportunities
What you’ll bring
Relevant technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
A minimum of a few years of experience in electronics design in R&D projects
Proficiency in schematics and layout design including mastering the related design tools
Experience with design verification processes and measurement techniques
Experience with product development processes
Strong technical documentation skills
Knowledge in electronics manufacturing processes and standards is considered as a plus
Understanding of the regulatory requirements such as the EMC and ESD standards
Good communication and collaboration skills
Positive attitude and forward looking mindset
