To strengthen our operations, we are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance to join our team in Oulu, Finland.
What you'll do
In this role you will:
Lead lifecycle maintenance and engineering changes for iLOQ’s electromechanical products
Manage, maintain, and improve product data, ensuring accuracy, structure, and compliance with internal requirements
Analyze field data, test results, supplier feedback, and production findings to improve product reliability
Execute small-to-medium engineering change activities, focusing on mechanical improvements
Collaborate with different stakeholders such as suppliers, production teams, testing, electronics, and software engineering
Support production by solving mechanical issues and ensuring manufacturability and quality
Update and maintain product documentation in accordance with internal processes.
What you'll bring
Relevant technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product maintenance, production support, or similar tasks
Strong skills in 3D modeling, preferably using SolidWorks
Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies (CNC machining, MIM, plastic injection molding, sheet metal)
Hands‑on prototyping skills are considered an advantage
Experience in tolerance analysis
Basic understanding of electronics is a plus, but not mandatory
Experience with a PLM system (preferably Siemens Teamcenter) is considered an advantage
Familiarity with workshop tools, laboratory equipment, and testing devices is beneficial
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proactive, solution‑oriented, and hands‑on when needed
Capable of managing multiple priorities independently
A team player with strong ownership and clear communication
Precise, structured, and committed to high‑quality documentation and data accuracy
Comfortable challenging existing practices and proposing better ways of working
Familiar with modern industrial environments, digital tools, and scalable operations
